Down with Mysterious Universe

Mysterious Universe » Maintenance Mode

I used to subscribe to a podcast called Mysterious Universe. I was like Coast to Coast AM but much better content. I found out today through Paypal that my subscription has been canceled. So I went to www.mysteriousuniverse.org to see what was going on and get this page (link above.) So I do a search on google to see if anyone else has been complaining and notice the wikipedia entry. It basically says the site is down again for no reason.

That's pretty crappy when you have to find out that something you are paying for is no longer there through paypal and wikipedia. That's like going to work one day and seeing a note on the door that the company is out of business and to back home and get a lawyer.

I sent an email requesting a refund for my current subscription and for a few months of my last subscription. We'll see what happens.

Bad business ethics :(

Preparation H... The new celulose removal cream,

New club drug: Preparation H? - Boing Boing

The article states that when you apply Prep-H on your skin it shinks the tissues it contacts thus creating a slimmer body while at the club.

I wonder just how big the affects are? I can think of at least 5 good pranks right of the top of my head.

Half Life 2: The Orange Box: Portal

I finally rented Portalfor Xbox 360 yesterday. It is one of the games packaged in The Orange Box. Anyways, me and Ethan played it for the afternoon and when I finished the game this song was at the end credits. After listening to the computer voice through the game I thought this was a good ending to the game. Much better than the Halo 3 ending.

Some videos that I saw today and had to share.

Daft Punk has some of the best and strange videos.

Here a few favorite songs from Daft Punk's Interstella 5555 movie. If you haven't seen the movie yet you really need to.

Game 3 Pictures

The pictures for Ethan's third game are now in the web albums. Hopefully I will have time soon to add comments to the pictures because all the kids look the same in the uniforms.

Look a like pics

Here are some pics where me and Ethan just happened to dress the same for the day. We didn't realize it until a neighbor noticed. Also go check out the web albums for new pictures of Ethan's T-ball opening day in the Baseball Album and some of him and his friends in the Misc pics album.

We were also wearing the same kind of camouflage shorts.

The Star Destroyer

Sorry for the bad pics. It was a little to dark for my camera phone and I had to pump up the light levels with Picasa. I'll try to get some better shots with digital camera later.

The latest and greatest addition to our Lego Star Wars Collection, The Star Destroyer! Ethan is putting on the last piece.

Finished at last. It only took about 10 hours (with Ethan's help) to get it put together.

Ethan does his silly pose. I will add some more pics of many other Lego Star Wars toys and more detailed shot of the inside of the Star Destroyer.

Kinda behind

I didn't realize just how long it has been since I posted last. I have been really busy with work and family. Also I kinda stopped taking pictures after my nice camera was stolen and my new (used) one will only work for 10 min on new batteries.

But I have managed to get my procknation.com back up and will be starting a new page for my new hobby: High Altitude Ballooning. I have started a blog at balloonblog.procknation.com that will record my misadventures of 100,000+ ft ballooning. I will also have a few pages on www.procknation.com devoted to it also.

That's it for now.
